The extension of cricket and Bollywood - Indian Premier League (IPL) is back and cricket fans are excited.

Sixty players were sold in the IPL Auction on Tuesday with franchises going all guns to pick the match winners for non-stop cricket that will commence on April 7, 2019.

Big-hitting West Indian Shimron Hetmyer was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for a whopping Rs 4.2 Cr. While England all-rounder Sam Curran became the highest paid overseas player in this auction, getting picked by Kings XI Punjab for Rs 7.2 Cr.

But the biggest surprise came when Varun Chakravarthy, the mystery spinner from Tamil Nadu, got picked up by Kings XI Punjab for Rs 8.4 Cr, mimicking Jaydev Unadkat's price, who was bagged by Rajasthan Royals.

Like every year, the auction caused a lot of drama on social media.
