Popular Slovakian YouTuber and comedian David Dobrik and his group of YouTubers and influencers called the Vlog Squad hs come under the spotlight after a woman who worked with the group accused them of rape.
According to reports, an extra from one of the vlogs shot by the Squad in 2018 has come forward and accused 23-year-old Dominykas Zeglaitis of raping her when she was 20. In an anonymous interview given to Business Insider, the woman said that she had visited the Los Angeles mansion where the squad shot their videos when Zeglaitis aka ‘Durte Dom’ plied her with alcohol and then assaulted her.
The woman, who had visited the mansion with her friends, also revealed that Zeglaitis had initially told them that he would be shooting a video while having a “fivesome” with her and her friends. The woman, who has been dubbed “Hannah”, said that she and her college friends were forced to drink hard liquor and accused Dom of raping her after getting her drunk. She als alleged that that the group shot a video of the incident and shared it on YouTube as part of a consensual “threesome” plot but was indeed taken without her consent. The video was later removed from YouTube.
The accuser says Vlog Squad members gave her and her college friends hard liquor because they were under the legal drinking age at the time and couldn’t buy alcohol. @trishapaytas, who was there that night, told Insider she witnessed this. pic.twitter.com/l4aUtINSGk— Kat Tenbarge (@kattenbarge) March 16, 2021
The woman has not yet approached the cops and no legal complaints have been filed in the case.
The Vlog Squad consists of Youtubers David Dobrik and his childhood buddy Dom Zeglaitis who make content together along with their members of the Squad such as YouTubers Brandon Calvillo, Jason Nash, Todd Smith, Jeff Wittek and Nick Antonyan.

David has responded in a short apology video on a side channel he used to upload his podcast on. He barely addressed the substance of the accusations and says he no longer associates with Dom.https://t.co/SUWxazLYMO

Dobrik eventually shared a short apology of sorts in a video that he shared on a side channel and said that he longer associated with Dom. “With people in my life that I don’t film with anymore, like Dom, I chose to distance myself, because I don’t align with some of the actions, and I don’t stand for any kind of misconduct. I’ve been really disappointed by some of my friends,” Dobrik said.
