The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will issue the migration certificates for class 10 and 12 students via DigiLocker - an online platform. While for the current batch the certificate will be provided in hard copy on-demand, the board will discontinue giving hardcopy of migration certificate by 2024.
The hardcopy will be provided only to students who make specific demands for the same. As per the board, the certificates will be made available in DigiLocker as soon as the result is declared. “This is expected to help students seeking admission in the higher education system as they are required to provide the same and also in web verification of documents," says CBSE.
This change will be effective from CBSE board exams 2021 and issuing of hard copy will discontinue completely from 2024 exams, the official notice read.
