Mumbai City FC Head Coach Sergio Lobera After the Game

"Thank you for the congratulations for the record but I am not happy today. My team played well compared to the last game but we gave a gift and lost two points. We have to try to not make these mistakes and lose two points after playing well.

"I need to keep calm right now and think about tomorrow. I am very happy with the performance of my team. Today was not a very good example but as a coach, I need to analyse and my players did well and if one player makes a mistake, I need to talk to him. Jahouh helps us a lot but cannot make a mistake like that. May be we have to score that second goal.

"We are creating chances to score but may be we need to finish, be more clinical. My team played well and we are playing against good teams. Today I think we dominated the game and created chances but we need to finish those chances. Sometimes when you score that second goal, the situation becomes different. Our defensive numbers are very good but we need to improve our offensive numbers."

Chennaiyin FC Head Coach Csaba Laszlo After the Match

"I think generally we played not bad football but the crosses and finish wasn't there and Mumbai got a very good goal and much couldn't be done about that. I told the boys that we had the chance, I play with pressure against ATK Mohun Bagan and Mumbai City because I can do better tactically. I think we deserved the point. I wanted to win but I am not disappointed with the one point.

"I think this is an endless story (chuckles). In our offence this year, we aren't fantastic. I miss Crivellaro and Thapa due to injury but I am proud of my players for understanding my tactics and we play with what we have. Tonight we showed a very good game but in the box, I am missing the killing instinct. There have been good crosses but you have to attack the ball in the box. But I must also be please that Sylvestr pressured to get the penalty and Isma scored. I had a little bit fear after ATK game as I saw a lot of sad faces in the dressing room but I am happy to see the players stand up and say 'we will do well against Mumbai City'. It's a miracle that these Indian players don't give up. I saw four games of Europe last night but the matches here are more entertaining. The players might not have the quality of Europe but they never give up.

"In the last game, Isma with Ali, Isma with Jakub, Jakub with Ali. In this case I have to try with what I have. I have these players, I am encouraging them and talking to them. Sometimes, it doesn't look fantastic but if you have to win games, you have to put foot in the pitch. In the offensive part, Isma and Jakub scored a lot in the previous clubs and hope they can do the same here. Lanzarote is in and I have a bit more possibility in the attacking part. This is what I have. I know everyone is waiting for goals from us, especially since we miss a lot but we have to just concentrate and try to score."

Hero of the Match Amey Ranawade after the Game

"I think we are disappointed with the result. I think we deserved all the three points. We will work hard and won't repeat our mistakes in the next match.

"They (senior players) help me both on and off the field. I have been working with the coach and I have been learning from the experienced players and the coach. It's good to be a part of a big team.

"It's good to get a start for such a big club. I am getting all the experience and the game time I needed since a long time."

After 13 games, Chennaiyin's misfiring attack is still struggling to find its feet. Chennaiyin have netted just 10 goals all season -- the least by any team. Their 1-0 defeat to ATK Mohun Bagan in the previous game meant that they have now failed to score in 7 matches out of 13 -- the most by any side. And they face Mumbai City FC, who are on an 11-match unbeaten run and are the strongest defence in the league, having conceded just four goals all season.

With Chennaiyin in for a tough challenge, head coach Csaba Laszlo has called for his misfiring attack to step up. "They (our forwards) are asked to score whenever there's a possibility, that's one of the main points," he said. "We have been unlucky in many cases where we created chances and have missed. I can't teach them how to create chances but in the last moment, you must be there to put the ball into the net. And tomorrow's game is the same. I'm sure we will get chances and possibilities to use them. But (we need) more attention, instinct and be hungry for goals."

The Islanders edged Chennaiyin 2-1 in their previous meetings but it was Chennaiyin who dominated the game and fashioned better chances, despite ending up on the wrong side of the scoreline. And Laszlo is hoping for more of the same on Monday. "We have to try to break them down. We have our tactical plans which we did in the first game. We were nearly successful but we were unlucky (to lose the game)," he said.

Meanwhile, Mumbai find themselves five points clear at the top and seem favourites to clinch the spot. Coach Sergio Lobera is content with his side's position but knows things can turn around quickly. "I was working everyday with the City Football Group and Mumbai City, trying to build a winning team with players suited to our style of play," he said. "I am happy now because we are in a good position but the most important thing now is the end of the season. We are playing well, (we have) very good stats, very good numbers. We are on top of the table but in this league and during this phase, everything is possible in seven days. You have 3 games in 10 days and you can lose points. We have to keep working the same way."
