New Delhi: Delhi Dynamos FC marquee player-cum-coach Roberto Carlos was very happy following his team's 1-0 win over FC Goa in the first leg of the Indian Super League semi-final at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Friday.
Carlos was all praise for his players and said he would like to enjoy the win as of now keeping the second leg away from the thoughts.
"Firstly, I want to enjoy the win today. I am so happy inside. I am happy for the players and the was supporters supported us - they were singing and supporting us throughout the match. For now I will like to take it easy and enjoy."
"We have two games and we have just one win so far. You never know what will happen in Goa. It is going to be a very difficult match I have no doubt about it. But we have one goal - to reach the finals. We have to go through a tough opponent. So till then I want to enjoy this win," Carlos told reporters after the match.
Carlos also praised Brazilian Gustavo dos Santos and goal-scorer Robin Singh.
"He [Dos Santos] was very motivated today. In general the whole team played well. Gustavo is a great player. Robin Singh is a great player. I always speak about all of them," he added.
Both sides made a host of changes coming into the first leg of semifinals. Sanjiban, Anwar, Greene, Souvik, Gadze and Vinicius made way for Doblas, Chicao, Anas, Dos Santos, Mama and Sehnaj in the Delhi line up.
When asked about whether there was any particular reason for so many changes in the starting line-up, Carlos said: "With me there is no eleven starters. If they play well in training - or matches they will play. Souvik was injured. He is a good player but he is injured. Robert... he got to be one of the starters because he was playing well. He worked hard and got his chance. That is football," he concluded.
