ISL Season 2 M4 Kerala v NorthEast

6:40pm: Both teams have brought in new coaches for the second season. They may not be big names like Anelka or Roberto Carlos but both the coaches have a wealth of experience in managing, unlike the above mentioned. After his last stint managing the Venezuelan national team for five years, Farias now comes to the ISL to work wonders with his experience and expertise at NEUFC.

Playing XIs:

NorthEast United FC: Hengbart, Arias, Jorge, Seityasen, Reagan, Rehenesh, Haokip, Garcia, Velez, Hanghal, Kamara

Kerala Blasters FC: Bheke, Ramage, Dagnall, Vineeth, Mehtab, Rafi, Bruno, Williams, Bywater, Carvalho, Currias

6:25pm: NEUFC's new coach, Farias - who guided Venezuela to the semis of Copa America, could turn things around for the team this year. Farias, 52, has the distinction of taking Venezuela to their first win over Brazil and he also guided Venezuala to FIFA U-20 World Cup qualification in 2009.

6:20pm: Kerala Blasters have been the most active club from the league during the summer and have made a flurry of new signings to make them a strong contender for the title. They begin their campaign under British coach Peter Taylor in this edition of the ISL and their opening encounter will be at home against NorthEast United FC on October 6 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi.

Kerala Blasters would look to straightaway set the tone when they lock horns with last season's last-place finisher NorthEast United FC in the Indian Super League on Tuesday.

Kerala made a brilliant comeback last season and shocked Chennaiyin FC in the semis before Atletico de Kolkata defeated them in the final with a last-minute winner.

Northeast United FC, on the other hand, made some big signings from Europe and Latin America this year and have got a very experienced Venezuelan coach Cesar Farias as their new team manager.
