New Delhi: Former union minister Venkaiah Naidu seems to be getting nostalgic about his time as an active politician.

In a message sent out to his 'friends', he has invited people from the media fraternity for lunch tomorrow (August 4). The invite reads as follows:

Dear Friend,

I have always greatly valued the association I have had with the media all through my four-decade-long public life. Now that I am set to leave active politics, our meetings, formal or informal, may get fewer and fewer.

On this occassion, I am hosting a lunch for media friends at 30, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Rd on Friday, the August 4, 2017 from 12.00 noon onwards.

Please be my guest.

M Venkaiah Naidu

Last lunch for mediapersons with the man who may well be the next Vice President of India? Meetings, as the former minister mentioned, are sure to get fewer and fewer.
