New Delhi: Infosys co-founder and former chairman of UIDAI Nandan Nilekani has come out with his second book "Rebooting India", which will be released in New Delhi on Thursday.

Nilekani wrote his first book "Imaging India" when he was the chairman of Infosys.

Speaking to CNN-IBN, Nilekani said that 10 startup ideas (in the book "Rebooting India") will look at change management holistically and can solve many problems of India. He said that startups like Uber, Airbnb are testing the regulatory system in the world.

According to Nilekani, India has a large aspiring population and Hardik Patels of the world are now asking for reservation.

Talking about his book, he said that re-imagining government is the whole thesis of the book.

Giving an advice to government, he said, "Not asking for billions of dollar to be spent. We are asking for 10 targeted interventions with 100 high quality people for a national mission. Each project will save 10000 croress of tax payers money and savings can go to healthcare and education."

Talking about his game changer Aadhar, he said, "I got complete UPA support for Aadhar. Aadhar was done well within the budget. When the political issues are sorted out, the GST system created will enable speedy implementation. Government is the real safety net for people. It's a trust provider".

Expressing complete confidence that Aadhar is here to stay, he said, "Happy that Aadhar project survived two governments. Aadhar is here to stay. Prime Minister Modi is tech savvy, and he understood the power Of Aadhar platform. Aadhar is a secure system, will reach one billion in few months. Government must identify 10 challenges and treat each idea as a government startup. We also need to have teams with domain knowledge. Innovations team must be given political air cover. Aadhar’s success should be replicated in other areas."

He said that social change can be brought about by use of technology and we need to create startups inside the government. He said that "to enable massive change, we need to re-imagine role and structure. For that we need 10 targeted interventions with 100 high quality people for a national mission".
