Hyderabad: A government school teacher has been arrested in Telangana’s Mahabubabad district for allegedly sexually harassing his girl students.

J Pratap was arrested after parents of students studying in a mandal parishad school complained that he would click their pictures, show them pornographic images on his phone and touch them inappropriately.

The police complaint was filed after the children told their parents about what had happened to them. Angry parents also reached the school and thrashed Pratap. They demanded immediate action against the teacher.

The police has arrested the teacher under sections 354A and POSCO Act. However, Pratap denied all the allegations.

A police official told CNN-News18, “After parents filed complaint, we arrested the teacher and he has been sent into police remand.”
