Sadashiv Amrapurkar reportedly informed a local TV channel about the celebrations in his housing society, which angered some members.

Mumbai: Mumbai Police have registered a case of rioting against five persons who allegedly assaulted veteran Bollywood actor Sadashiv Amrapurkar for pointing out waste of water in a Holi event in his neighbourhood.

Amrapurkar reportedly informed a local TV channel about the celebrations in his housing society, which angered some members.

Amrapurkar, who lives in Versova in Mumbai, told the channel that 'a rain-dance' was going on at Panchavati building in his neighbourhood and asked them to shoot it as an instance of waste of water and people's insensitivity.

When the channel's camera-person went to shoot it, some of the revellers took objection. Police have recorded the statements of Amrapurkar and the camera-person and filed a case against the five persons.
