CAT 2017 Result was announced earlier on Monday with the Percentiles and Score Cards of candidates released on their respective login profiles.

Candidates who had appeared for the CAT 2017 exam in November 2017 were intimated about their overall CAT 2017 Percentile score via SMS on their registered mobile numbers. Last year's record of "all males-all engineers" to score a complete 100 Percentile has been broken by two-females and three non-engineering students; however engineering candidates continued to rule the highly competitive as well as highly coveted exam of the country.

The number of candidates to score 100 CAT Score also stood same at 20 only (same as last year), out of a staggering 199632 candidates who had appeared for the exam.

Sai Praneeth Reddy from Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh; Meet Aggarwal from Surat, Gujarat, Patrick D'Souza from Thane, Maharashtra, Vishal Vohra from Kolkata, West Bengal; are some of the candidates who scored Overall 100 Percentile in CAT 2017.

Here are the scores of Sai Praneeth Reddy who aspires to join IIM Ahmedabad.

Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC):

Scaled Score - 64.43

Percentile - 95.65

Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR):

Scaled Score - 73.87

Percentile - 100

Quantitative Ability (QA):

Scaled Score - 94.01

Percentile - 99.97

Total Overall Scaled Score: 232.32

Overall percentile: 100

As per Reddy, who is currently at IIT, Madras, the switch to an IIM arises from the need to acquire impeccable management skills, "I realised that I can excel in the technical field but there are areas where you have to get your work done by others. For which you need to have team management skills and there is no other better place to learn those skills than IIM in India," stated Reddy.

Giving a sneak peek into his preparation strategy, Reddy shared that he used to practice mock tests from 9 am to 12pm religiously each day.

CAT 2017 saw the highest number of candidates in the last 3 years. The Common Admission Test 2017 for candidates seeking admissions to 20 IIMs and 100 other prominent B-Schools in India was conducted on 26th November 2017 at 140 cities across India.

As the candidates' CAT 2017 scores are out, the IIMs will now initiate the short-listing process to invite candidates for further rounds that include Written Ability Test (WAT), Personal Interview (PI) and/or Group Discussion (GD). IIM Lucknow is expected to share the further details of the selection process followed by others. The interview and selection process is expected to be concluded by April 2017.
