The Delhi cabinet on Wednesday evening cleared the much awaited Jan Lokpal Bill and it is expected to be tabled in the assembly next week.
With the clearance of the bill, Chief Minister's Office (CMO) will come under its purview. The anti corruption Bill was Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal's major poll promise but he came under severe criticism for delaying its passage.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress both has questioned the Delhi government on why they are reluctant to pass the Bill despite their majority in the state election.
