201. Dhar is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is part of Dhar (ST) Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Dhar falls in Dhar district and Malwa Tribal region of Madhya Pradesh. It is categorised as a semi-urban seat.

There are a total of 2,56,130 voters in the seat, which includes 1,36,980 male voters, and 1,19,139 female voters. In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections, Dhar recorded a voter turnout of 72.58%. In 2013 the turnout was 72.91%, and in 2008 it was 75.17%.
