The mail claims the attackers may come in "any disguise".

Pune: An e-mail carrying a threat to target President Pratibha Patil during her on-going Pune visit, was received by state authorities, an official said.

The mail sent by unidentified persons claims that the attackers may come in "any disguise", the official said.

Patil arrived in Pune on Friday on a four-day visit and is scheduled to inaugurate the Commonwealth Youth Games on Sunday evening.

Her security has been tightened following the threat, the official said.
