Enough evidence to prove arrested terrorist Usman alias Naved is from Pakistan, has links with ISI, says NIA
NIA officials said that Naved had furnished a lot of information about Pakistan and had even revealed his links with ISI.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA), which has brought arrested terrorist Usman Khan alias Mohammad Naved to the national capital for interrogation, has claimed that it has enough evidence to prove his links with Pakistan.

Speaking exclusively to CNN-IBN, NIA officials said that Naved had furnished a lot of information about Pakistan and had even revealed his links with the neighbouring country’s intelligence agency ISI.

Earlier, the NIA had said that it was an open and shut case. The Director General of the NIA said, "This is a sensitive case that involves the international boundary and international relations. This is an open and shut case. In all his statements and during interrogation we got evidence that he was supported by Pakistan."

The Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorist was earlier jointly grilled by the NIA and the Jammu and Kashmir police.

On August 3, Usman was arrested by the Indian forces after a brief gunbattle in Udhampur. Usman, along with his accomplice Momin, attacked a Border Security Force convoy killing two personnel and injuring eight others in Jammu and Kashmir's Udhampur on Wednesday morning. While Momin was killed in the gunbattle, Usman fled into the forests after taking three hostages. He was soon surrounded by a team of BSF and Army soldiers and a brief gunbattle followed. He was overpowered by his hostages and captured.
