Fire in Patna Storage Unit Triggers Serial Explosion of LPG Cylinders

The incident occurred after gas cylinders exploded one after the other, igniting fire in a Patna godown. No casualty has been reported so far.

Patna: A massive fire broke out in a cylinder storage unit in Didarganj area here on Saturday morning after some gas tanks exploded. No casualty has been reported so far.

The incident occurred around 8 when a gas cylinder blew up, igniting fire that spread in the godown as many other tanks exploded.

The cause of the blaze is not known yet. However, six fire tenders have been pressed into service along with a team of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF).

Meanwhile, a massive fire also broke out at Patel Chambers in Mumbai's fort area this morning, bringing down a part of the building. No fatality has been reported till now, while two fire fighters have been injured.
