New Delhi: In a recent interview Bipasha Basu said," The viewers will get to see the real Bipasha in 'Jodi Breakers'. For the first time in ten years of my career I play a character which is the real Bipasha, like what I am in real life. It is quite refreshing." However it sounds more like advertising than any insight about the character. Basically she is trying to say that the director of 'Jodi Breakers' Ashwini Chaudhary has seen what other directors couldn't see in last ten years.
Her co-star R Madhavan is also very hopeful about the film. He has high praise for Bipasha," She is one of the most outstanding and rewarding co-stars I have ever worked with. Bipasha is a heroine, who is involved in all creative aspects of the film."
The film basically features two people Sid Khanna (R Madhavan) and Sonali Agnihotri (Bipasha Basu) who are experts of setting people free from their painful relationships. They have separate set of skills but their chance encounter simply changes their minds towards each other.
Madhavan has a brain to die for, but his unnecessarily adventurous nature always leads him to unusual situations while on the other hand Bipasha is very smart in her judgements and she believes in fairy tales.
The film also features Omi Vaidya and Dipannita Sharma in important roles. Omi Vaidya is a good actor but lately he is just repeating himself. 'Players' and 'Desi Boyz' can qualify as examples for this.
The songs have not been appreciated well by the audiences despite being trendy. Moreover this is the first time when Bipasha Basu is paired opposite Madhavan. Their chemistry doesn't seem to click very well in the promos.
Madhavan has a very different image than Bipasha who is still to find a foothold in the Hindi film industry.
The director Ashwini Chaudhary is not new for the direction. He has directed films such as critically acclaimed 'Dhoop' and 'Good Boy Bad Boy' but he hasn't tasted the success yet. He can only hope for a better finish this time.
