The residents handed a letter to local MLA Rakesh Daultabad, and demanded probe into the incident and alleged malpractices by builder under supervision of Punjab and Haryana HC.

Residents of Chintels Paradiso housing complex, which partially collapsed killing two women last week, have demanded the arrest and cancellation of passports of the firm’s directors. They charged the Gurugram police with shielding the builder and other functionaries by not naming them in the FIR.

They said they wanted the court to even supervise the structural audit which will be conducted by IIT-Delhi.

Besides these, the residents demanded the cancellation of the Haryana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (HRERA) license granted to Chintels India group. Further, they demanded adequate compensation to all the flat owners in the society in the form of buyback at the prevailing market rate prior to February 10 or flats in other equivalent and structurally safe societies.
