Journalist shot in UP's Kannauj district, second incident this year

The journalist Raja Chaturvedi was attacked right outside his house. However the attackers managed to escape the spot immediately. Police has begun a probe into the incident Devendra Chaturvedi was a senior journalist who used to live in Kannauj's Bhainpura region whose son Raja chaturvedi was also a journalist and a lawyer too.

Kannauj:There is no end to the lawlessness in Uttar Pradesh, months after a journalist was burnt down in Shahjahanpur now another journalist has been shot dead in Kannauj in Uttar Pradesh.

The journalist Raja Chaturvedi was attacked right outside his house. However the attackers managed to escape the spot immediately. Police has begun a probe into the incident Devendra Chaturvedi was a senior journalist who used to live in Kannauj's Bhainpura region whose son Raja chaturvedi was also a journalist and a lawyer too.

He was associated with the newspapers named Smaridhi and United India. On Friday afternoon, when he was standing at the gate of his house, suddenly few people attacked him. They shot him with a gun and he fell down in blood. Till the time his family members came out attackers ran away. In a hurry, the family took Raja to the hospital but Doctors declared him dead.
