Bellary: A video of Karnataka Congress MLA Anand Singh dancing to the beats of drums with devotees during Hanuman Jayanthi has gone viral with people giving his dance moves thumbs up.

Singh, a lawmaker from Hospet, seemed to be in the mood to celebrate the victory of Congress in the Assembly polls in Rajasthan, MP and Chhattisgarh and also the party's win in Bellary bypolls.

The procession was moving towards the Shree Sannakki Veerabhadreshwara Swamy temple where devotees were heard chanting 'Jai Shri Ram' in the background.

Singh jumped ship from the BJP to the Congress before the Karnataka Assembly election earlier this year. He was known to be close to the Reddy brothers of Bellary.

Singh gained popularity when Congress strongman DK Shivkumar brought him to the Assembly holding his hand during the political drama when the Congress had to prove its majority in the House. This ensured then that the coalition government had the numbers to prove its majority.
