Left front demands resignation of Kerala Finance Minister over bribe charges
Thiruvananthapuram: The opposition Left Democratic Front (LDF) held protest march in front of the state secretariat demanding the resignation of Finance Minister KM Mani in the bribe allegation against him.
They also demanded an enquiry into the role of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and Excise Minister K Babu. Opposition leader VS Achuthanandan said that if the present vigilance enquiry does not bring out the truth, LDF will intensify the protest.
The working president of bar owners association, Biju Ramesh had alleged that the Finance Minister has demanded Rs 5 crore as bribe to reopen bars. They also alleged that they had handed over Rs one crore to the minister.
