New Delhi: The debate on splitting larger states has once again come to the forefront with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister announcing plans for carving out four new states: Purvanchal, Bundelkhand, Awadh and Paschim Pradesh/Harit Pradesh. There have been long standing demands across India for the formation of new states and the list includes:1. Ladakh (Jammu & Kashmir)2. Maru Pradesh (Rajasthan)3.
