It is official. Actor Mohanlal is going to be a part of Arun Vaidyanathan's 'Bandicoot'. The actor took to Twitter to announce the news. The Malayalam film is scheduled to release in theaters next year.
Mohanlal seems to have his plate quite full this year also with two films lined up for release this year. His two projects this year are an untitled Tamil movie with actor Vijay, and another upcoming Malayalam thriller 'Red Wine'. According to sources, the Malayalam thriller featuring actors Fahad Fazil and Asif Ali along with Mohanlal, has been scripted by newcomer Mammen K Rajan. Rajan's 'Red Wine', which is slated for a March 22 release, has background score composed by Bijibal.
Vaidyanathan's 'Bandicoot' is the Indian-American director's first Malayalam film. He made his debut in Tollywood in 2009 with 'Achchamundu! Achchamundu!'. Also the director has made many short films in English in the past like 'As You Wish', 'The Noose' and 'The Seance'
