Mumbai attackers had fake IDs with Indian names

It's been nearly three weeks since the Mumbai terror attacks.

New Delhi: Nearly three weeks after the Mumbai terror attacks, the police have revealed that all the attackers had fake identity cards on them with Indian names.

The identity cards were of various educational institutions and most of the I-cards were made out in names of Hindus.

For example, the captured terrorist Ajmal Kasab was carrying an identity card of the Hyderabad based Arunoday Degree and PG college in the name of one Sameer Chaudhry.

Police say this could indicate that the terrorists were planning to escape after carrying out the attacks. The terrorists were using Arabic code names to coordinate with their handlers in Pakistan.
