Mumbai: After delivering a hit with his comic act in Welcome, Nana Patekar is at it again. This time he plays a truck driver for Horn Ok Please.
As the actor was busy rehearsing for an item number in the film with Tanushree Dutta, he said that even after doing over 50 films in the past three decades, he still could not figure out one thing – the art of dancing.
“I dance the way people want me to. But the way people dance on streets, I don’t know that,” the actor said.
“If you look closely, you can make out that my steps are quite wrong. But the shots are so short that one doesn’t come to know,” he added.
Not only is Nana putting on his dancing shoes for the film, he will be exercising his vocal chords for it, as well.
“This is the first time that Nanaji has sung a full song. And he has sung it very melodiously. Lalitji has given some excellent music and this song basically introduces his (Nana Patekar’s) character,” explained the film’s director, Rakesh Sarang.
This truck driver who sings and dances with Tanushree Datta, will also romance Rimi Sen in the film.
Clearly, when in Bollywood, even truck-driving becomes an attractive career.
