It was with the support of the Jan Sangh that a person from the Patel Community, Babubhai Patel became CM. Congress did not like this and ensured that Babubhai Jashbhai's government did not last: PM Modi LIVE at https://t.co/rG5Hkwb7Wu | Listen at 02245014501 #GujaratWithModi pic.twitter.com/q7332DiaIV— BJP LIVE (@BJPLive) November 27, 2017
PM Modi takes a veiled dig at the AAP. “A new party came up in Delhi, whose style is to keep abusing and running away. I thought the Congress, being an older party would not indulge in such politics but they have also taken this short cut in the past two months and only hurled abuses and lies,” he says.
Invoking the 26/11 terror attack in Mumbai and the attack on the base camp in Uri last year, Modi says the way India responded shows the difference between the Congress and BJP governments. He also brings up the Doklam standoff with China and says even during the tension, Congress went and shook hands with the Chinese ambassador to India.
"Rann was already there. But I thought that we can turn it into tourist spot and earn money. People never imagined that there can be any kind of farming in Kutch. On one side is a desert and on the other is Pakistan. Now it is a krishi shtra. After drip irrigation, it is a model for farming,” Modi said, touting his mantra for vikas.

Gujarat is my soul and mother, my relationship with you is that of equality since you call me brother, says PM Modi. Talking about his own track record, he says that officers did not want to get posted to Kutch region as the water here was black in colour but now Narmada waters have turned the situation around.
Modi says the Congress has not let one opportunity go to humiliate the people of Gujarat. He accuses the Congress of not being serious about development and said the Narmada waters could have reached Kutch 30 years ago. If Congress would have cared about the project, people of Gujarat would not have had to migrate when the drought struck the area, he says.
Lack of crowds delays mega Modi rally

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley expressed confidence that the BJP would beat its previous seat tally record in the state. “It is clear that BJP will win more seats than ever in the upcoming election. Gujarat is a developed region. It has risen above caste politics. It will never go back that path,” he said.

Modi will first offer prayers at Mata nou Madh temple that falls in the Abdasa constituency. The significance of the visit to this temple of local deity Ashapura Mata is that it is located in an area with a sizeable Muslim population. In a series of tweets, the PM also paid a glowing tribute to former Swaminarayan sect head Pramukh Swami Maharaj.
Star campaigners of the BJP, including union ministers Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, Arun Jaitley and Sushma Swaraj, as well as chief ministers of BJP-ruled states — Yogi Adityanath and Vasundhara Raje have also hit the campaign trail. While Shah and Jaitley sipped tea with supporters during the PM’s Mann ki Baat radio address on Sunday, Adityanath addressed two rallies in Surat.
