Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday expressed grief over the passing away of former Union Minister and senior Congress leader Devendra Prasad Yadav and announced his cremation with state honours.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday expressed grief over the passing away of former Union Minister and senior Congress leader Devendra Prasad Yadav and announced his cremation with state honours.

Yadav (76) was an able parliamentarian and hardworking politician who dedicated his life for development of Munger parliamentary constituency which he represented for three terms, Kumar said in a condolence message.

The Chief Minister said that the departed leader's cremation will be held with full state honours later on Monday in Munger.  The 76-year-old Yadav passed away in a hospital in New Delhi due to heart attack on Sunday night.
