London: Former Oasis rocker Noel Gallagher is in talks to write the James Bond theme for the new 007 film 'Skyfall'.
The 44-year-old is reportedly in the running to pen the theme tune for Daniel Craig's upcoming outing and is set to meet with movie bosses to discuss the project, reported The Sun.
"They're going to talk about potentially writing and performing the song for next year's new Bond film. Nothing is signed or official, it's just being discussed at the moment," a source said.
Gallagher had previously expressed his interest in performing a song for the Bond franchise.
"It's a bit of a pain that the greatest British agent of all time has to be soundtracked by a bunch of Americans," he had said.
Singer Adele has also been touted for the 'Skyfall' soundtrack.
