OT Genasis Did Everything To Make Me Feel Comfortable While Collaborating For 'Stockholm Syndrome': Aryaana G

Singer-songwriter Aryaana G has been making headlines for her collaboration with American rapper and songwriter O.T. Genasis.

Singer-songwriter Aryaana G, who has been making headlines for her collaboration with American rapper and songwriter O.T. Genasis, speaks to News18 about ‘Stockholm Syndrome’, what gives her an edge over other artistes & more.

Aryaana you collaborated with rapper OT for Stockholm Syndrome, what was the experience like?

I met up and collaborated with Almost Famous during the quarantine to produce my first music video ft. OT Genasis, this has been my biggest win this year. Having someone of his calibre collaborate with me on my first single is incredible. He did everything he could to make me comfortable on set and is an amazing artist/human being. All in all, it was a great experience and I feel blessed to have been able to live it.

What makes you stand out from your competitors?

A lot of people have passion and love for their craft and are extremely hard working, no dispute there. I think what makes me different was the risk that I took doing what I did. Leaving my country, my home, no college degree, no fallback or back up job, no plan B, nothing.

What are the basic errors that people make while creating digital content?

I think maybe it’s not being as authentic as they can be. When you don’t actually believe in what you’re promoting, it’s quite obvious.

Many create content for the sake of it; is this why they have nothing insightful to shares?

Not just content, but truly anything being done “for the sake of it” is not going to produce great results, in my opinion. If you do not love it, it shows.

Tell us something about your association with Collabtribe…

I've been lucky enough to be able to travel to a lot of remote new places along the West Coast with my girls at Collabtribe, Alanna Panday, Srushti Porey, Alaviaa Jafferi and Aaliyah Kashyap to create digital content. We have come together with a common mission, to promote those products and ideas we genuinely believe in to create a community of like-minded individuals. Collabtribe as the name suggests is collaborative in its nature and the 5 of us are constantly pushing each other, to help each other grow, to share similar experiences and travel the world together. The team at Collabtribe has become my adopted family in Los Angeles, it’s my very own support system.
