PM Modi Thanks Delhiites for Municipal Poll Victory
PM Narendra Modi will complete three years in office on May 26.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday thanked the people of Delhi for their "faith" in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), as it headed towards a sweep in the Delhi civic polls.

"Grateful to the people of Delhi for the faith in BJP," Prime Minister Modi said in a tweet.

"I laud the hard work of team @BJP4Delhi (Delhi BJP) which made the resounding MCD win possible," he said.

BJP was on Wednesday headed for a clean sweep in the Delhi civic polls and was set to retain the three municipal corporations for the third term in a row, as predicted in exit polls.

The Aam Aadmi Party has alleged widespread tampering of Electronic Voting Machines in favour of the BJP.
