br /> Gajendra Chauhan, Chairman, Film and Television Institute of India, on Gurmehar Kaur:

*She must apologise for saying Pakistan is innocent. Pakistan has always harmed India, so it's wrong to say Pakistan didn't kill her father, wrong to give the neighbour a clean chit.
*Threats against her are wrong, the violence that has taken place is wrong. She has done the right thing by quitting social media and withdrawing her protest. Now, the issue will die down.
*Protests are against the anti-national statements that were made. Political parties should not politicise this.
*This issue is not to distract from the budget. Not at all. In fact, under the Modi government, people are saying lots of anti-national and anti-patriotic things and that's wrong.
*BJP has done the right thing. All the ministers have taken the right stand.
*My stand is individual but BJP's stand is very correct. As usual, Rahul Gandhi and Arvind Kejriwal are trying to take advantage of the situation.

* Police might have called in the institution's the administration
* Since when our govt has come, they are frustrated. What else they can do?
* Gurmehar Kaur has withdrawn from the protest
