New Delhi: Schools in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, have been instructed to telecast the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address to students taking exams on Friday. If schools in Lucknow district do not have television sets, then they should rent some for the day, the order from the district inspector of schools reads.

“On February 16, 2018, from 11 am to 12 noon, the honorable Prime Minister will address students from Class VI to Class XII and talk to them about how to relieve stress during the examination period. The address will be telecast live on Doordarshan’s DD National, DD News and DD India channels. It will also be live on All India Radio (AIR),” the order states.

It goes on to say, “You are all directed to make viewing arrangements for students of classes VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI and XII in your respective schools. Where television sets are not available, you are directed to get TVs on rent to make the adequate arrangements. It is possible that those students who are appearing for Class X and Class XII exams will want to watch the program at their homes. You are directed to publicise the event so that all students are aware of it.”
