Sexual Assault, Rioting, Murder: Meet Karni Sena Leaders Waging War to Save Rajput Women’s Honour
From L to R: Mahipal Singh Makrana, Sukhdev Singh Gogamedhi and Ajit Singh Mamdoli.

New Delhi: A CNN-News18 investigation has revealed that leaders of Karni Sena, who are at the forefront of saving the pride of Rajput women, are facing serious criminal charges such as sexual assault, kidnapping, rioting, murder, among others.

Even after Supreme Court okayed the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat, the Karni Sena has been dead opposed to the screening of the movie as it alleges it violates the honour of its revered Rani Padmavati and Rajput women at large.

But who are these people and what is their background? The documents accessed by CNN-NEWS18 show how all the three top leaders of the Karni Senas of Rajasthan are history sheeters.

The three leaders are: Sukhdev Singh Gogamedhi, Mahipal Singh Makrana, and Ajit Singh Mamdoli.

Records show that while rioting comes naturally to them, they don’t fare too well in respecting women either.

Two of the three leaders are facing trials for crime against women. Murder and attempt to murder charges are levelled against them as well. Tragically, it is such men who are leading the protest to protect the honour of Rajput women.

Here are the details of their criminal past:
