Ordos: As the Miss World 2012 goes live on air August 18 from Dongsheng Fitness Center Stadium, Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China, one billion viewers from over 150 nations will be glued to their TV sets pinning their hopes on a beauty queen to bring back the crown to their country.
The gorgeous 20-year-old Vanya Mishra represents India at the most glamourous event in the world, and the entire country has their fingers crossed.
A student of electrical engineering, Vanya says she grew up idolising Miss World 1994 Aishwarya Rai and just like her, Vanya too took a pledge to donate her eyes. The engineering student is already contemplating a career in the Indian film industry, but only after she "makes her country proud".####
