Voting for by-polls to Lok Sabha, Assembly seat on November 21 in Madhya Pradesh

The by-poll for Ratlam (ST) seat was necessitated as sitting BJP MP, Dileep Singh Bhuria passed away while the polls are being held in Dewas as sitting BJP MLA and former Minister Tukojirao Pawar died after prolonged illness.

Bhopal: The Election Commission on Thursday announced by-poll schedule for Ratlam (ST) Lok Sabha and Dewas assembly seat in Madhya Pradesh. The by-elections will be held on November 21, an official release said.

The by-poll for Ratlam (ST) seat was necessitated as sitting BJP MP, Dileep Singh Bhuria passed away while the polls are being held in Dewas as sitting BJP MLA and former Minister Tukojirao Pawar died after prolonged illness.

The notification for the by-polls will be issued on October 28. The last date for filing nominations is November 4, while scrutiny of the same will be done on November 5, it said.

The last date for withdrawal of nominations is November 7, while polling will be held on November 21, it added. Counting of votes will take place on November 24, it said adding the poll process should be completed by November 26.
