Security forces on Tuesday apprehended a wanted Naxal from the forests of Jashpur district in Chhattisgarh.

Security forces on Tuesday apprehended a wanted Naxal from the forests of Jashpur district in Chhattisgarh.

Officials said the suspected Maoist, identified as Prabal Toppo, was apprehended by a squad led by paramilitary CRPF from the Sakardaga forest area of Jashpur district when the troops were out for an anti-Naxal operation.

Toppo, a cadre of the outfit called Peoples Liberation Front of India (PLFI), carried a reward of Rs 6,000 and has been handed over to local police, they said.
