Apple Oatmeal Cinnamon Muffins for Heart Healthy Snacking

Oatmeal is recognized as a Superfood, world-over. But at times even the health freaks want to break-free from bland snacks and give in to sweet cravings for fall-foods like apple pies. However, the sugar content in an apple pie makes it an item that cannot be relished too often. Let us share this super-yummy apple-oatmeal-cinnamon muffins recipe that is super-healthy too. This recipe will give a fabulous-fruity twist to your oats snacking, while the apple and cinnamon content joins oats for a healthy heart!

Ingredients:

2 Apples (shredded)
¾ cup Rolled Oats
1 cup Whole-Wheat Flour
1 cup Milk
4 tbsp Pecans/Walnuts (chopped)
4 tbsp Raisins (chopped)
½ cup Brown Sugar
½ cup Oil/Butter
2 tsp Cinnamon (grounded)
2 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Baking Soda

Procedure:
Step 1 - Sauté applies for 5 minutes on medium heat with cinnamon and 1 tsp brown sugar to caramelize them perfectly!
Step 2 - Preheat oven to 190C
Step 3 - Mix all dry ingredients
Step 4 - Blend all wet ingredients
Step 5 - Mix everything in a large bowl and whisk
Step 6 - Fling the shredded apples into the batter
Step 7 - Fill the muffin cups (¾ level)
Step 8 - Bake for 18 minutes
Step 9 - Let it stand for another 5 minutes
Step 10 - Do a toothpick test and your muffins are ready to serve
