it’s time you stop-grumbling and keep calm!

While whining can be needed intermittently to express what we are feeling, but if you find yourself complaining all the time, then as per experts, it’s time you stop-grumbling and take control over your deteriorating mindset.

Why It’s Important to Stop-Grumbling?

1. Habitual complaining is a symptom of underlying stress.

2. It takes toll on your mental as well as physical wellbeing as continuous whining spikes cortisol levels which can compromise your cognitive ability immediately and pave way to issues like blood pressure, diabetes, binge-eating (leading to obesity), in the long run.

3. It needs to be addressed before it leads to relationship issues, health issues and mental issues like developing a negative mindset.

How can you take Control over your Negative Biases?

While cribbing about a missed opportunity, bad boss, awful lunch or an overwhelming colleague is ok, but if you find yourself engrossed in negative biases all the time then these 3 hacks can help you pull out of this draining mindset:

1. Monitor Your Complaints

For a day, monitor your complaints without judging yourself. If possible, pen down all the whining you did on a particular day. At the end of the way, try to see what was normal and what was due to an overwhelmed biasness.

2. Gratitude

Whiners often complain about how their life is full of miseries… if you also find yourself in this mob, then begin with top 5 things you are thankful for. Gratitude is one way to analyze your real situation.

3. Scavenge Your Company

If you are surrounded with whiners, then the probability is that you’ll end up becoming one. You must scavenge your company and drop out chronic complainers from your friend’s list.
