Living with cancer may not be easy as the treatment is often long and its effects dispiriting. However, you must take the first step towards well being and inculcate the following changes in your life to pass through this time as a conqueror who is hell-bent on living life King-Size/Queen-Size!

1. Be Active

Exercise oxygenates your body and sensitizes cancer cells. Endorphins are released when your body moves and these help neutralize stress hormones. If exercising is not feasible to you, one thing that anyone in any given condition can do is – Yoga or Meditation. It takes willpower to see the disease in its face and fight back with full strength.

2. Do Not Lose Hope

Spend your time with your loved ones to create memories that will last a lifetime and beyond. Pursue art or pen down your feelings for your loved ones. Listen to music, do things that you had always wanted to do. Whether you survive cancer or not, you will surely emerge a Winner of hearts!

3. Explore Your Spiritual Side

Exploring your spiritual side and maintaining spiritual grit is often cited by Cancer survivors. Spiritual thoughts, words are healing not just with their spiritual miracles (if any) but scientifically too as they calm your brain and restore faith that works immensely to deal with this disease.

4. Read Inspiring Stories of Other Cancer Survivors

Reading helps immensely. Dealing with cancer is psychological too and reading stories of Cancer survivors can give you a glimpse into living with cancer and how to successfully deal with it. Watch YouTube videos if you are not a big fan of reading!

5. Do Not Self-Pity

Also, just because you are diagnosed with Cancer, don’t stop living. Do the normal tasks you used to, interact with friends and family, the way you used to, do not get trapped in the vicious cycle of self-pity; you have a lot already on the plate to deal with!
