After 197 Days In Space, Astronauts Touch Base On Earth

Three astronauts safely touched down in Kazakhstan on Thursday, after spending almost 200 days onboard the International Space Station as part of "Expedition 57."
The Soyuz MS-09 spacecraft, carrying NASA Flight Engineer Serena Aunon-Chancellor, the Expedition's commander Alexander Gerst and Russian cosmonaut Sergey Prokopyev, landed near the remote town of Dzhezkazgan.The crew completed a 197-day mission, circling the globe 3,152 times, conducting science and maintenance aboard the space station. The longest mission was 215 days, by Mikhail Tyurin and Michael López-Alegría. Peggy Whitson holds the record for the longest single spaceflight by a woman at around 290 days.
