Chandrayaan-2: India Prepares To Launch Second Mission To Moon

India will launch a lunar mission on July 15 and with it India will solidify its place among world's spacefaring nations. Chandrayaan-2 mission aims at delivering a rover to an elevated plane close to the uncharted lunar South Pole. Chandrayaan meaning “moon vehicle” in Sanskrit, exemplifies the resurgence of international interest in space. India has spent about $140 million to get Chandrayaan-2 ready for the 384,400 kilometres trip.
