People Return To Homs After Conflict Ends

This is Homs. After 8 years of fighting, the city has been reduced to ruins. The rebels left the city after Russia brokered the deal between rebels and Syrian Govt. As the battle in Homs ended in May 2018, people are returning to their homes. Among the returnees is Rahman.Rahman says he is happy to be back, even though the environment is not ideal. Rahman has begun raising pigeons and other poultry to secure a livelihood. Since 2011, 50 Syrian families have been displaced every hour of every day. 6.5 million people are currently displaced within Syria, the highest IDP population in the world.
