The IIFA awards, this year will witness some breath-taking performances by Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt, Shahid Kapoor and Sushant Singh Rajput. On the fashion front, IIFA has often been compared to the Indian version of the Oscars or Cannes, with celebs pulling out all the stops. Let's take a sneak peek into what these stars chose to wear for the event:

Katrina Kaif:

Katrina

Katrina looked her best wearing a mid-length cold shoulder tangerine dress. She completed her look with a nude pair of stilettos. Her hair kept naturally open set the temperatures soaring.

Salman Khan looked dapper as ever wearing a blue checkered tuxedo paired with a black shirt. Salman's look at the day 1 has us awestruck.

AliaBhatt

Alia Bhatt is a goddess when it comes to slaying it on red carpets, and she definitely didn't disappoint this time either. Looking stunning in a Blue and White monochrome tube dress, paired with chic sandals, Alia really turned heads on Day 1 of IIFA.

Shahid Kapoor:

Shahid

Let Shahid Kapoor teach you the art of dressing to perfection during the red carpet events. Shahid, opted for a Nawabi look with his bandgala monochrome kurta that he topped off with straight pants. This has to be one of the best looks of Shahid.

Sushant Singh Rajput’s style statement was on point at the IIFA awards day 1. We are totally digging that awesome leather jacket that Sushant wore with a graphic Tee and black jeans, with brown suede leather shoes.
