The collection, inspired by the designer's love for trees and the Bishnoi tribe, who were the original tree huggers, was a tribute to the Bishnoi community's spiritual reverse for nature using intricate weaves and embroideries that celebrate fine Indian craftsmanship and a way of life.

"Tree of Love is inspired by my love for trees and the Bishnoi tribe who are known for their love for nature, trees and animals alike," told designer Anita Dongre to News18.com in an exclusive interaction.

Talking about the strong values and traits of the Bishnoi's that totally floored her and inspired her to go on and work on a collection, the distinguished designer said, "Their deep reverence for nature and how they would go to any length even giving up their own lives to protect their forests and their animals. And that's today a very clear message to the world that we all need to be as passionate as they are about environment."

The amazing collection that the designer showcased at the event, wowed audiences. The line featured Anita's signature style, Indian aesthetics and yet very contemporary, for a bride who is resplendent, confident and radiant-- a woman of today. The presentation, combined traditional weaves and exquisite embroideries with silhouettes influenced by contemporary styles for both brides and grooms.

The ensembles had tree and bird motifs, celebrating nature.

As far as the design breakthrough is concerned, Anita introduced intricately embroidered tabards paired with tulle skirts, obi belts to hold drapes, embroidered flat shoes and cross body potli-bags for the brides.

In fact, the interesting 'pocket detail' in the ensembles, especially the lehenga, was something that caught everyone's attention when the models sashayed down the ramp donning the beautiful creations with their hands in the pocket.

The line showcased an eclectic mix of colours including hues of blue, rich maroons, inky black, and a stunning emerald green.

Towards the end of the presentation, the designer showcased bridal couture with layered pieces. Completing the look was the nearly nude make up inspired by her muse - the woman of today. Also part of the collection were classic menswear looks.

Talking about her ideal colour choice for a bridal outfit the ace fashion designer told News18.com, "It's so difficult. I love colours. I love using colours in all my collection." She added, "I love red because I still think that it is the traditional bridal colour in India and I think a bride should go all out and celebrate herself with just beautiful red. I am definitely partial to red."

Giving some advice to soon-to-be-brides the designer said, "It's your most important day, I want you to have the most amount of fun than anyone. You are beautiful, you are going to look beautiful, so celebrate your own beauty and be comfortable and don't overdo it.
