The fashion industry is no longer limited to glamour or style alone, its branches have spread towards saving the planet as well as focusing on various social issues. Fashion interests a considerable amount of people who understand how fashion impacts environment too. There are many eco-aware clothing startups, designers and big brands in the current times that are emphasizing on eco production and manufacturing of clothes, shoes and bags.

Focusing on the Problem

No matter the pledges that are taken on Earth Day, people prefer fashion first and sustainability later. In the earlier times, eco fashion meant a bohemian or a hippy look as most of the materials were limited to cotton and hemp. However, the current scenario depicts a different story with designers presenting vibrant clothes that are eco-friendly too!

The Social Responsibility

One of largest industries all over the world happens to be fashion industry that automatically makes it a social responsibility for this industry to safeguard planet earth. Today's fashion designers are moving forward with an aim of placing sustainable fashion on the popular red carpet. Although, it is quite challenging, eco-fashion has moved beyond organic cotton t-shirts and pajamas. Evening gowns, dresses and trendy tops are also nowadays manufactured in a sustainable manner.

How We Can Contribute

- Buy clothes only when you need. Before buying any piece of cloth you should know if you have space in your wardrobe for this. Avoid binge-shopping!
- Buy eco-fashion. It's good to be considerate and aware and even better when we practice good things in life. If you know how sustainable fashion can contribute towards saving our planet then buy from brands that are investing in sustainable fashion.
-Buy clothes that are made to last. Do not just fancy cheap clothes that do not even last one season. Instead invest in good clothes that can become part of your heirloom while making you look class-apart!
