Disney's latest Beauty and The Beast is winning hearts and breaking box-office records all around. This remake of the 1991 animated film of the same name has an Indian connection that'll make the hearts of fans pound a little.

In an Instagram post shared by Sinéad O'Sullivan, assistant costume designer of Beauty And The Beast, the Indian connection of Emma's character Belle is revealed.

To most fashion connoisseurs'delight, one of Belle's bodice was handcrafted by two brothers Kasam and Juma in Bhuj.

To weave the floral design, they made use of a fine chain stitch called Áari work.

Not just this, Sinéad shared that as a team, they "tried to source ethical, fair-trade and sustainable fabrics wherever possible."

Even when the actress began the promotional tour for this film, she made a point to only wear eco-friendly garments and also documented her fashion choices on an Instagram account.
