Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt turned 28 on March 15 amidst wishes pouring in from family, fans and fellow colleagues from the film industry. Alia’s step-sister Pooja Bhatt was among the first people to wish her on social media. The 49-year-old actress and filmmaker took to Instagram to share her birthday wishes. Pooja posted a picture of Alia where she was seen sitting on a pile of chairs as she got ready for her shooting. The picture was followed by some of Alia’s movie posters that showed her range of acting.
Captioning the post, Pooja wrote that the first picture shows the girl she will always see off-screen before she transforms like a chameleon into the dazzling array of women she gives life to on screen. Pooja shared posters of Highway, Udta Punjab, Gully Boy, Sadak 2, and her upcoming movie Gangubai Kathiawadi. Pooja concluded the caption with a warm happy birthday wish and said that she makes them all very proud.
Alia’s mother Soni Razdan also wished her daughter on Instagram with a heart-warming note. The actress shared a monochrome picture of Alia and started the caption with a quote from Jawaharlal Nehru that read, ‘The art of a people is a true mirror to their minds’. Soni wrote that going by Nehru’s quote, Alia has a very special mind and she wished that it blooms and grows forever and may she also always like what she sees in the mirror. Calling her ‘sunshine’, Soni wished Alia a happy birthday.
The actress also received birthday wishes from the makers of the RRR movie who revealed her first look as Sita. The multilingual SS Rajamouli movie also stars Ram Charan, N. T. Rama Rao Jr, and Ajay Devgn among others.
Meanwhile, her next release in Gangubai Kathiawadi, arriving in cinemas on July 30. Gangubai Kathiawadi is based on a book and is inspired by the real life story of Gangubai Harjivandas . It will chronicle her life and times as she rose from a life of sex work to becoming a powerful woman in her area Kamathipura.
She will also be seen in SS Rajamouli’s RRR, Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra, Karan Johar’s Takht and her first production venture Darlings.
