The creepy ghoulish doll is back with Annabelle: Creation to send chills down the spine of the viewers. After scaring the audience with its mere presence in Conjuring, the makers decided to zoom in the scary quotient of the doll in Annabelle, released in 2014. After three years, it's time to know the origin of this dark spirit doll and how the demonic story began.
The story begins with a happy family, struck by a tragedy and then actions set in motion resulting in the creation of a demon doll. With orphans, chilling silences, a well and a locked doors, makers have tried to fit in every horror element in the film.
However, now that the audience is used to such antics, the trailer fails to evoke many gasps. While one might skip a heartbeat or two, but the scary portions are outrun by predictable moments.
The Conjuring universe is expanding as apart from Annabelle: Creation, two new movies are underway, one is The Nun and another film is based on The Conjuring's Crooked Man.
Directed by David F Sandberg, Annabelle: Creation stars Stephanie Sigman, Talitha Bateman, Lulu Wilson, Philippa Coulthard, Grace Fulton, Lou Lou Safran, Samara Lee, Tayler Buck, Anthony LaPaglia and Miranda Otto.
The movie is slated for release on August 11, 2017.
