Anushka Sharma took to social media to give a shoutout to ‘Legend’ Jhulan Goswami, as the Indian pacer played her last game on Saturday. The cricketer donned the Indian jersey for one last time as she played against England in the last ODI at the Lord’s. The actress, who is playing Goswami in the upcoming film Chakda Xpress, took to social media to show her respect and love for the cricketer. She shared a list of Goswami’s achievements and wrote, “LEGEND.’
Goswami will retire with the most international wickets – 353 – in women’s cricket. She also has the most wickets - 253- in Women’s ODI.

Prior to Goswami’s last game, Anushka had shared a couple of pictures of her and penned an emotional note along with it. The post read, “An inspiration. A role-model. A legend. Anushka Sharma, who has been away from the big screen for a long time, will make a comeback with her upcoming film Chakda Xpress. The film is being helmed by Prosit Roy and bankrolled by Karnesh Ssharma’s Clean Slate Filmz. The actress will be seen playing Jhulan Goswami. This is also her first film since the birth of her daughter Vamika, whom she and her cricketer-husband Virat Kohli welcomed into their lives in 2021. The movie is all set to release on OTT giant, Netflix.
