K-pop stars G-Dragon and Jennie Kim are rumoured to be dating. South Korean media outlet Dispatch has reported that the BigBang and Blackpink members have been secretly dating for about a year. The outlet even provided photos of them meeting up in private at G-Dragon’s penthouse home in Seoul’s Hannam-dong neighborhood.
The two have shared the same entertainment company for more than a decade and have worked together over the years. Before Blackpink’s debut in 2016, Jennie appeared in the music video for G-Dragon’s single That XX in 2012, and the following year she featured on the song Black from his album Coup d’Etat.
YG Entertainment, which manages both G-Dragon and Jennie, has commented on the dating reports, saying, “We can’t confirm anything about our artists’ private lives. We ask for your understanding."
Dating is a big no-no in the K-pop idol world with labels asking stars to keep their private lives secret. The revelation of romantic relationships can often have a negative impact, especially for female stars. Following the rumours about their relationship, many Blackpink fans rallied to send their love to Jennie.

A source told Dispatch, “A lot of people in YG noticed their relationship. Jennie’s mother is also aware of their relationship. She is thankful to him for his thoughtful care."
